Cookie Policy

Last updated: February 18, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Bonsai Prep ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website at bonsaiprep.com.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They help the website remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how you use the site. Cookies can be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (remain until they expire or you delete them).

Cookies we use

Essential Cookies

Required — cannot be disabled

These cookies are necessary for the website to function. They enable core features such as authentication, session management, and security protections (e.g., CSRF tokens). Without these cookies, services you have requested cannot be provided.

  • Session cookie — keeps you logged in during your visit
  • CSRF token — protects against cross-site request forgery
  • Cookie consent — remembers your cookie preferences

Analytics Cookies

Optional — requires your consent

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting anonymous usage data (pages visited, time spent, navigation paths). This information helps us improve the user experience and identify technical issues.

  • Usage analytics — anonymous page view and interaction data

Marketing Cookies

Optional — requires your consent

These cookies may be used to track visitors across websites and display relevant advertisements. We currently do not use marketing cookies, but this category is reserved for future use. If enabled, we will update this policy accordingly.

Third-party cookies

Some cookies on our site are set by third-party services that we use. These include:

  • Stripe — our payment processor may set cookies for fraud prevention and payment processing when you interact with payment forms.
  • Supabase / Firebase — our authentication and database provider may set cookies for session management.

We do not control these third-party cookies. Please refer to the respective third-party privacy policies for more information.

How to manage cookies

You can manage your cookie preferences at any time:

  • Cookie banner — when you first visit our site, you can accept, reject, or customize your cookie preferences. To reset your preferences, clear your browser's local storage for bonsaiprep.com.
  • Browser settings — most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the site from functioning.
